I designed a low-cost, light-weighted birdhouse which is easy for women and children to assemble. I hope it helps women and children to learn birds' behavior, and at the same time it attracts birds to parks and sanctuaries. Then I looked for new materials to avoid the use of wood, and tried to make my design environment-friendly. The birds I looked for are of flycatcher family such as Ficedula hypoleuca.
Why I chose little birds like flycatchers? Because flycatchers have small bodies (length of body is 14 centimeters). I wanted to make a small and comfortable birdhouse, and put some kind of coating as a protection against external threats.
