| Symposium was organized by the Birdhouse Project and held at the Osaka Central Public Hall on December 12th 2008. Seven pieces of carefully selected birdhouses from past collections were also displayed in the hall. They accentuated the event by making it more appealing visually and audibly. At this event, we set forth a ‘form’ of dialogue and actively exchanged ideas and opinions in search for an environmental project that encourages interactions with public citizens in the 21st century. Our panelists were Mr. Tadao Ando, Mr. Shinya Izumi, Mr. Shohei Fukui, and Mr. Scott Howe, all of whom created a “form” out of dialogue with environment and made a “dialogue” with the general public through their work. Their talk on the experiences of collaborating with ordinary citizens during their work fascinated more than 500 audiences in the hall. The speakers clearly delineated a life indicator on how one could live in this chaotic modern society. The two and a half hour lecture was carried out with enthusiasm and reached the heart of the audience. | |
